IT’S not every day that two of Australia’s best-known acting exports film in Sydney’s Centennial Park surrounded by fake headstones.
Mel Gibson spent yesterday morning directing Hugo Weaving in a scene from the anticipated war movie Hacksaw Ridge.
Hacksaw Ridge, which will wrap shooting by Christmas, is based on the true story of Desmond, who saved 75 men without firing a gun during a WWII battle.
Other stars in the movie include Ryan Corr, Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer and Sam Worthington.
The international stars of Hacksaw Ridge are also enjoying the sights of Sydney, with Vince Vaughn spotted at the Royal Paddington pub on the weekend having dinner.
