The walk, which is made up of 21 bronze plaques set into stone at the city’s Pier 2/3, was created in order to honour various stage and screen legends of Australia including Geoffrey Rush, Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving.
New South Wales Premier Kristina Keneally, who unveiled the walk, told the ABC: "Today we celebrate their contribution to NSW, their contribution to the arts, this city, this state and indeed to this country.
"Each one of these theatre stars has lived in NSW – at some point – and has made a huge contribution to our state’s vibrant theatre scene."
