Nicole Kidman brought her Australian made drama, “Strangerland,” to this year’s Sundance Film Festival Friday (23 JAN. 2015).
In the film, Kidman stars alongside Joseph Fiennes, as a mother and father whose teen children go missing. HugoWeaving plays a cop in charge of the investigation.
The actress, who has attended the film festival before, said visiting Utah and seeing its mountainous landscape puts life into perspective. “It does put it in perspective when you look at- and you just see snow-capped mountains and you go – I don’t know – I think balance is always good and you can always say, ‘It’s just a film,’ which is, I know that can sound blasphemous, but it is just a film.”
Kidman also said she’s not sticking around the festival but going home to her family as soon as she can. “I’m a family girl. I’m going straight home to my hubby and my kids.”
Joseph Fiennes was decked out in a pair of winter boots on the carpet that he said were given to him because the cold weather got to him. “My feet were freezing and very kindly I was donated these very warm boots so, I feel grateful for that.”
