The film had its world premiere earlier this year at Cannes and was also seen at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The film tells the moving story of the ill-fated love affair between great romantic poet John Keats and his neighbour Fanny Brawne and stars Aussie actress Abbie Cornish as Brawne.

Cornish was nowhere to be seen last night, but Hugo Weaving , Michael Caton, Bryan Brown and Rachel Ward turned out at the Dendy.
