To celebrate St Valentine's Day, nine prominent Australians tell of the loves of their lives.
KATRINA GREENWOOD, ARTIST, has been with actor Hugo Weaving for 15 years: "He's my soul mate, When you start going out so young, and are with each other through the turbulent times of your twenties, you grow up together.
It's a very solid foundation. We grew up in the same street but it wasn't until I was 17 that I met him. I was still at Ravenswood and he was a NIDA student. I thought he was a bit serious. He did one of his drama exercises in front of us and I remember thinking it was very uncool.
When I was at uni, we ended up in a big share household together - we bought vegetables together and drank cheap red wine and had lots of happy times, but we were both with other people. It wasn't until I left and went overseas and come back that we both knew 'this was it'. I was 21 and he was 22. It was just a very strong feeling of connectedness - it was quite overwhelming.
I know we (she and their two children, Harry, 9, and Holly, 5) are very important to him - more important than his career. We're his core. He knows you have to have your cupboard sorted our before you can function properly.
He's away a lot of the time - last year it was for four months. We have these long rambling conversations over the phone. We talk about our plans - places we'd like to live, holidays we'd like to take, people we'd like to see. I went away on a holiday recently with a girlfriend but I missed him quite a lot.
I wanted to phone him all the time to tell him what I was seeing. I've been with him for half my life, I can't imagine being without him."
