Several big celebrities will be attending the fourth annual Adelaide Film Festival, which was officially launched today.

The festival is expected to draw more than 45,000 movie lovers and will feature 23 world and 62 Australian premieres.

Festival director Katrina Sedgwick says several stars of the big screen will attend the festival, which starts on February 19.

"We're going to be welcoming people like Natalie Imbruglia, Bryan Brown, Hugo Weaving, the directors of Edinburgh film festival," she said.

"There's people coming from Cannes film festival and Toronto - a lot of industry players in the film industry both from Australia and internationally."
