The British drama Oranges and Sunshine has just received its first trailer, thanks to The Guardian. The true story of Margaret Humphreys (Emily Watson), a Nottingham social worker who brought attention to the scandal where childcare groups forcibly relocated poor children to Canada and Australia, the movie also stars Hugo Weaving and David Wenham, and is the directorial debut of Jim Loach, son of Ken (whose latest film, Route Irish, just had a trailer premiere). The film played at a few festivals over the past months, garnering strong reviews for its emotional impact and the performances on display.

The trailer itself is fairly good, and you can get an idea of the tone the movie is going for, along with what to expect from the developments of the story. It also feels like an international trailer, as the editing and use of music come across as different than what we’re used to in the US.
