Reelz Channel The fourth TV spot for Marvel Studios' latest comic book adaptation, director Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger, recently aired and it can now be viewed online. The spot offers a few brief snippets of new footage from the movie, but it is notable because it is the first footage — outside of the unfinished teaser footage shown at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con — in which Captain America's (Chris Evans) nemesis, the Red Skull (Hugo Weaving), actually speaks.
Captain America: The First Avenger was written by Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus. The story is set in Europe during WWII when sickly Steve Rogers (Evans) volunteered for the fateful experiment that transformed him into America's one and only "Super Soldier" to combat the menace of the Red Skull and HYDRA. The cast includes Sebastian Stan as James "Bucky" Barnes, Neal McDonough as Dum Dum Dugan, Toby Jones as Arnim Zola, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, and Stanley Tucci as Dr. Abraham Erskine. Next Showing: Captain America: The First Avenger opens July 22
