Writer/director John Ogilvie has managed to tie down Hugo Weaving for his planned film 'The Tender Hook'.

In addition to Weaving, the first-time helmer has attracted a cast including Rose Byrne and 'Garage Days' star Matt Le Nevez for the film, which is set in the 1920s and follows a young woman's rise within a love and power struggle set in the world of boxing.

Now that the cast has been secured, Ogilvie aims to start shooting in Sydney next February.
