Hugo Weaving, Rose Byrne and Matt Le Nevez will star in The Tender Hook for first-time writer-director Jonathan Ogilvie.

Described as a 1920s film noir, the movie is set in a stylized version of jazz-age Sydney and follows a young woman's rise to the apex of a love/power triangle in the world of boxing. Shooting is scheduled to start in Sydney in February.

Weaving most recently starred as "V" in V for Vendetta. He also provided voice work for Happy Feet which is currently in theaters. Rose Byrne most recently appeared with Kirsten Dunst in Marie Antoinette. Her upcoming credits include the horror sequel 28 Weeks Later.
