It took less than 24 hours for Warner Home Video's upcoming V For Vendetta Blu-ray Disc to make a mark on Blu-ray pre-order sales at retailer Amazon.com.
The May 20 release, priced enticingly at only $19.99, has shot into the top 10 bestselling Blu-ray titles since it's March 28 announcement. Currently V For Vendetta is in the 6 spot, but had been high as the 3 position earlier today. In an additional surprise announcement, Warner has stated V For Vendetta is the first of several "superhero" themed Blu-ray titles in the works for a 2007 release. The 80s/90s Batman films have already been confirmed, though it appears those may be only the tip of the iceberg. In the meantime, we've confirmed the Blu-ray version of V For Vendetta will include all the goodies found on the HD DVD version, including the In-Movie Experience feature.
