Hugo Weaving - a man that knows more than most about
dressing in drag - is returning to the Flinders Ranges this week,
for the first time since filming The Adventures Of Priscilla,
Queen Of The Desert. This time Weaving stars as Kev, a father
on the run from the law with his son Chook in The Last Ride,
the first feature for director Glendyn Ivin since winning the Palme
d'Or for his short film Cracker Bag at Cannes in 2003.
The Last Ride, began its six-week shoot yesterday and
confirms the Flinders Ranges as the new It destination, with
filming just wrapped on the Rachel Ward -directed feature
Beautiful Kate starring Bryan Brown, and Rachel
Griffiths.
