According to a post on Ain't It Cool News, noted composer Danny Elfman has been pegged to score the upcoming The Wolfman remake.

The film, which is being directed by Jurassic Park III and Hidalgo helmer Joe Johnston, stars Benicio Del Toro in the titular role and also features Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, and Hugo Weaving.

The Wolfman is currently filming in London and is set to be released in the States in February of 2009.

As for Elfman, with films such as Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Sleepy Hollow, Darkman, and Tim Burton's Batman under his belt as well as his penchant for eerie musicality, he should be a perfect fit for the film.
