Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Richard Roxburgh, and John Bell will appear in a production of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya as part of the Sydney Theatre Company's (STC) 2010 season, according to a report in Variety. Andrew Upton, Blanchett's co-artistic director at the STC, will direct.

The STC season will also include a production of Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night, starring William Hurt and Robyn Nevin. Additionally, Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman will direct Sam Shepard's True West, featuring Wayne Blair.

As previously reported, the 2010 season in Sydney will also see the Steppenwolf Theatre Company production of the Tracy Letts' August: Osage County.
