See stunning tapestry artwork for The Hobbit The Battle of the Five Armies – Digital Spy (17sept14)

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies has unveiled a huge widescreen artwork exclusively through Digital Spy.

The poster previews the events of Peter Jackson’s Hobbit finale, which will bring his latest JRR Tolkien trilogy to a close this December.

The fantasy blockbuster, previously titled There and Back Again, will star Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sir Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage and Luke Evans.

Director Jackson revealed at The Hobbit‘s Comic-Con panel that he is considering releasing a six-film box set of all his Tolkien films after Battle of the Five Armies debuts.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will be released on December 12 in the UK and on December 17 in the US. Watch the most recent trailer for the film below:
